Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a contract between you and EZ Page Sync("we", "us", "our"). They cover your use of the EZ Page Sync website at https://www.ezpagesync.com and the EZ Page Sync WordPress plugin (together, the "Service").

Effective date: July 5, 2026

Acceptance

By downloading, installing, activating, or using EZ Page Sync — or by using our website — you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

If you're using EZ Page Sync on behalf of an organization, you're confirming you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

What EZ Page Sync is

EZ Page Sync is a self-hosted WordPress plugin that syncs pages, posts, and custom fields from a staging WordPress site to a production WordPress site. You install it on both sites, configure HMAC-signed communication between them, and trigger syncs on demand. The plugin runs entirely on your own infrastructure.

License grant

Subject to these Terms and (for paid tiers) payment of the applicable fees, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use EZ Page Sync as follows:

  • Free tier — one WordPress site.
  • Freelancer — up to one site.
  • Agency — up to five sites.
  • Unlimited — unlimited sites owned or managed by you or your organization.

A "site" means one production WordPress installation on one domain. Staging or development copies that pair with a licensed production site don't count as separate sites.

We retain all right, title, and interest in the plugin, including all intellectual property rights. This license doesn't transfer any ownership to you.

Prohibited use

You may not:

  • Resell, sublicense, rent, or redistribute the plugin as a standalone product.
  • Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or attribution notices in the plugin.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the plugin, except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits you to do so despite this restriction.
  • Use the plugin to attack, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to any third-party system.
  • Circumvent, disable, or interfere with license checks, update mechanisms, or any security features of the plugin.
  • Use the plugin in a way that violates any applicable law.

Payment, billing, and renewals

Paid tiers are annual subscriptions sold and fulfilled throughFreemius, our third-party checkout and licensing partner. When you buy a license:

  • Freemius processes the payment, issues the invoice, and handles applicable taxes (VAT, GST, sales tax, etc.).
  • Freemius manages license activation, updates, and your customer account.
  • Auto-renewal, payment methods, and cancellation are governed by Freemius's checkout terms and your Freemius account settings. You can manage or cancel renewal from your Freemius customer portal.
  • If a renewal payment fails and isn't resolved, your license may lapse. When a license lapses, your installation continues to work, but the plugin reverts to Free tier limits (one site, no premium updates or support).

Your relationship for payment and billing is with Freemius. Their terms apply on top of ours where they conflict on payment matters.

Refunds

Refunds are handled underFreemius's standard refund policy. We honor whatever Freemius approves. To request a refund, use the refund process in your Freemius receipt or customer portal. Contact us at if you need help finding it, but we don't process refunds directly.

Free tier

The Free tier is provided at no charge for single-site use. It comes with no support guarantee, no update guarantee, and no service-level commitment. We may change or discontinue the Free tier at any time.

Third-party services

EZ Page Sync and our website rely on third-party services, including:

  • Freemius — checkout, licensing, and plugin updates for paid tiers.
  • Analytics, hosting, and content delivery providers used by our website.

These services are governed by their own terms of service and privacy policies. We don't control them, and we're not responsible for their acts or omissions. Check their sites for their current terms.

Data and privacy

EZ Page Sync runs on your own WordPress infrastructure. We do not receive, store, or process your WordPress content, database contents, media files, or WordPress credentials.Syncs happen directly between your staging and production sites — the data never touches our servers.

What we do collect is limited to:

  • Website analytics from ezpagesync.com.
  • Telemetry that Freemius collects as part of license activation and updates (governed by Freemius's own policies).
  • Anything you send us in support emails.

For details, see our Privacy Policy.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Keeping WordPress core, PHP, and EZ Page Sync updated on your sites.
  • Taking a full backup of your production site before every sync. The plugin writes to your production database. If something goes wrong, your backup is your recovery path.
  • Using the plugin's rollback feature when a sync produces an unexpected result.
  • Deciding whether to enable IP allowlisting and configuring it correctly if you do.
  • Keeping HMAC shared secrets confidential. Anyone with the shared secret can trigger a sync against your production site.
  • Making sure your use of the plugin complies with the terms of any third-party content, themes, plugins, or services running on your sites.

Warranty disclaimer

The Service is provided"as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty arising from course of dealing or usage of trade.

We don't warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of harmful components, or that any defects will be corrected.

Because the plugin writes to your production database, you are solely responsible for taking backups before every sync.We are not responsible for data loss, corruption, downtime, or any other consequence of a sync — including one that behaves exactly as designed but produces a result you didn't want.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • For paid tiers, our total aggregate liability arising out of or related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us (through Freemius) in the twelve (12) months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim.
  • For the Free tier, our total aggregate liability is limited to USD $0.
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity, even if we've been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from any claim, demand, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

  • Your use or misuse of the Service.
  • Your violation of these Terms.
  • Your violation of any law or third-party right in connection with your use of the Service.

Termination

You can stop using EZ Page Sync at any time. To end a paid subscription, cancel renewal in your Freemius account.

We may suspend or terminate your license immediately if you materially breach these Terms — including violating the Prohibited use section.

Termination doesn't entitle you to a refund beyond what Freemius's refund policy provides. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including License restrictions, Warranty disclaimer, Limitation of liability, Indemnification, and Governing law) will survive.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll post the updated version on this page and update the effective date at the top. If the changes are material, we'll make a reasonable effort to flag them.

Your continued use of the Service after the new Terms take effect means you accept them. If you don't accept the changes, stop using the Service.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You and we agree that the courts of USA will have exclusive jurisdiction and venue over any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service, except that either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect its intellectual property or confidential information.
